2010 National Convention - General Info.

  • Registration will open at 7am each day
  • Closed Meetings will take place at 9 am, 11am, 2pm and 4pm on Friday and Saturday
  • The Opening Meeting will start promptly at 7:30pm on Friday evening – April 2, 2010
  • The Closing Meeting is at 9:30am on Sunday morning - April4, 2010
  • There will be some light entertainment directly after the last meeting on Saturday and a dance later in the evening.
  • Tea and coffee with light snacks will be available during the breaks, before and after the meetings.
  • Food will be on sale during the lunch & dinner breaks.
  • A tuckshop will operate through out the weekend
  • ATM's are situated in the courtyard area
  • Souvenirs and recordings of meetings will be on sale
  • Speakers are requested to report to the stage 10 minutes before the start of their meeting

Dear Friends,

The 61st National Convention of our fellowship will be held in Cape Town from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th April 2010 with the theme Back to Basics. AA members and guests from all over our country will gather to celebrate Alcoholics Anonymous' 75th year at the:

    The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT)
    Cnr.Modderdam & Rotterdam rds.
    Bellville.

The CPUT venue has been used extensively by AA since the very successful National Convention of 2004 was held there. Besides the main hall, pictured above left, there are a number of auditoriums and lecture rooms at our disposal. There is ample secure free parking available and all the major banks have ATM's on campus.

Registration will open at 7am each day. The fee has been set at R70.00 however the pre-registration fee is only R60.00.
